carlos pinto poster mayhem of replikatorThe aim with this project is to become the number one place in print and reading products for people that work with computers. *cough*
This was the entrance for all shareholders or marketing-freaks in search for a reason of this site. If you are deeper then these in pixel movement and are intersted in the whole story, read on.
If you do not know what words or terms like 72Dpi, as3, Adobe or <? mean and think that p155 0ff is a color code
then please leave. Otherwise, as said .... read on.

REPLIKATOR certainly is not the first shop out there dedicated to posters, but we try hard harder and much much harder to focus on prints that could be loved by webdesigners, coders or any other other people that do love to move pixels from a to z or 0 to 1024.
So there are two kinds of content you will find in here: printed products that either will be of help to you or products simply that will declare you as someone that loves to work out pixels.

Thoug you will find a lot of "we" here or there, the project is mainly maintained by one person, Carlos, who from time to time can cound on a helping hand of a friend to keep up with this project.

The reason for this project is that Carlos never could keep standard web bannersizes in mind so instead of learning them he made himself a print with these bannersizes on it. After sticking it right above his computer monitor he realized that it would be awesome to have them much much bigger, if not even as poster.
That's how the whole thing started.

// REPLIKATOR HISTORY
Carlos registered this address somewhen around 2002. The term replikator has several definitions but Carlos' idea behind this was to develop a website that would act like the replikator from Star Trek. That is a machine where you simply say what you want, e.g. "a glas of water with 24% of gas, taken out of a water source at the Alps on the 2nd March in 1948" and the machine offers you exactly what you want in that material.
After developing a Flash application offering such an imaginary function the project died. It was followed by a mousepad show that offered "dunique" mousepads. Mousepads that were made solely twice so that you would know that someone on this planet has a second mousepad like yours - and no one else! Also this project was too crazy and only 4 mousepads were sold within 5 years.
In January 2010 finally the print project went online.
